Rice planting requires good soil preparation and pre-transplanting weed control.
In order to better carry out agricultural technology extension work, in addition to conscientiously summarizing last year's work and arranging this year's tasks, to ensure increased crop grain production and income, on April 6, at the critical season, 3 scientific and technical personnel from the Kaiyuan City Seed Management Station went to Longtan Village and Renshou in Dazhuang Township to provide training to science and technology demonstration households and villagers on some requirements for high-yield rice field cultivation and land preparation and on pre-transplanting weed control. Nearly more than 60 people attended the training.
1. The purpose of field cultivation and land preparation is, through various tillage means such as plowing, harrowing and smoothing, to create a good soil environment for the growth and development of the rice root system, so that after rice transplanting the roots develop rapidly and can quickly absorb water and nutrients, the seedlings establish quickly, tiller early, and soon grow into a high-yielding plant canopy. There are many methods of field cultivation and land preparation, but no matter which method is adopted, the most important thing is to plow finely and level carefully, without missing any plowing and without leaving any dead corners. Soil clods must be broken up, and there must be no hard, large clods within the soil layer. The field surface must be fine, soft and level, with the height difference between field plots not exceeding about 4 cm. Whether dry plowing with water leveling or water plowing with water leveling is used, the above standard requirements must be met, to create a good soil environment for the normal growth and development of rice and to lay a good foundation for achieving high quality and high yield.
2. Pre-transplanting weed control in rice has many benefits: First, applying pesticide in the field is simple, convenient and fast. Second, the chemical does not come into direct contact with the rice seedlings, which can reduce phytotoxicity. Third, it can create the best conditions for pesticide application and improve the weed control effect. Fourth, it seals weeds in the germination stage, which can effectively control damage.
3. Application methods: 1. Butachlor: use 1.5-2.25 liters of 60% butachlor emulsifiable concentrate per hectare, diluted with 4-5 times water, and sprinkle it into the field water surface during the final operation of leveling the field surface, using the leveling operation to disperse the solution over the entire field surface. Transplant or sow 3 days after application; the residual effect period is 30-40 days, effectively controlling barnyardgrass and other grass weeds as well as other annual weeds in the field. 2. Butachlor plus simetryn: it has special effects on barnyardgrass, Monochoria vaginalis, wild arrowhead, Monochoria korsakowii and other broadleaf weeds as well as algae, with an efficacy period of 35-45 days. Use 1.5 liters of 60% butachlor emulsifiable concentrate plus 1.5 kg of simetryn wettable powder per hectare, diluted with 225-300 kg of water, maintain the field water at 5-7 cm, spray evenly, and transplant rice seedlings after 8 days.
