Peanut is one of the main cash crops in Yanshan, and in the cultivation process the most labor-intensive and time-consuming task is weeding. The weeds that cause relatively serious damage on peanut land include grasses such as crabgrass, foxtail, Chinese sprangletop, nutsedge, goosegrass and barnyardgrass; broadleaf weeds include thistle, feather cockscomb, chickweed, prickly lettuce, small bindweed, shepherd's purse, knotweed, lambsquarters, amaranth, bean and black nightshade, etc. According to the characteristics of peanut land, where there are many kinds of weeds and different growth periods, at different stages of peanut planting, different herbicide varieties are selected for different weeds, and timely and appropriate application can achieve good results. Several commonly used chemical weed control techniques for peanut land are briefly introduced as follows:

1. Pre-emergence herbicides after peanut sowing

After peanut sowing but before emergence, different herbicides are selected for different weed types and sprayed on the soil surface, covering it to form a herbicide film layer and close the soil surface for weed control.

1. Peanut land with more monocotyledonous weeds

Per 667 sq m, choose 72% Dual 100-150 ml plus 40 kg water and spray evenly, or 50% acetochlor 150-200 ml plus 40 kg water and spray evenly, or 48% Lasso emulsifiable concentrate 100 g mixed with 25% diuron wettable powder 100 g plus 40 kg water for spraying.

2. Peanut land where monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous weeds grow together

Per 667 sq m, choose 50% Sucou 4 g plus 90% Harness 60 ml, add 40 kg water and spray. Or three days before peanut sowing (or three days from sowing to sprouting), use 20% Gramoxone 120-180 ml, dilute with 30-45 kg water, and spray evenly on weed stems and leaves or the soil surface layer.

Saline-alkali land, wind-sandy arid land, sandy loam with low organic matter content, and especially dry or waterlogged soil generally do not use pre-emergence soil treatment for weed control, and post-emergence stem and leaf treatment should be adopted.

2. Post-emergence stem and leaf treatment,

After peanut sowing, because farm work is too busy or due to climatic factors, pre-emergence soil surface closed weed control cannot be carried out. After peanuts and weeds emerge, when grass weeds are at the 2-4 leaf stage and broadleaf weeds are 5-10 cm high, stem and leaf spray weed control can be carried out.

1. Grass weeds

Per 667 sq m, choose 6.9% Whip 40-50 ml, or 10.8% high-efficiency gallant 25-30 ml, or 15% refined fluazifop-p-butyl 40-50 ml, or 20% refined quizalofop-p-ethyl 30 ml, add 40 kg water and spray on stems and leaves, which can control annual grass weeds.

2. Broadleaf weeds

Per 667 sq m, use 24% Cobra 8-10 ml, or 25% Classic 60 ml, add 40 kg water, which can effectively control common broadleaf weeds.

For peanut land where grass weeds and broadleaf weeds grow together, choose the peanut-field special herbicide Kecaoxing (Peanut Treasure), which can be used from the 2-3 compound leaf stage of peanut to before row closure. Usage methods: (1) At the 2-3 compound leaf stage of peanut and the 1-3 leaf stage of weeds, use 40-50 ml Kecaoxing per mu diluted with 40 kg water and spray evenly. (2) From the 4 compound leaf stage of peanut to before row closure, and at the 4-6 leaf stage of weeds, use 50-65 ml Kecaoxing per mu diluted with 40 kg water and spray evenly. Or choose the above two herbicides for mixed use.
