Control methods for soybean mosaic virus in soybean cultivation

1) Select disease-resistant varieties: Different soybean varieties have different resistance to soybean mosaic virus, so selecting disease-resistant varieties suited to the local area is the most effective measure for controlling soybean mosaic virus. Disease-resistant varieties include Qihuang No. 22, Ludou No. 4, Ludou No. 1, Ludou No. 7, Ludou No. 6, He 84—2, He 7308—1—2, Wei 87, Yanhuang No. 3, etc. These varieties have obvious yield-increasing effects and can be selected according to local conditions.

2) Carefully select seeds and remove diseased seedlings in the field: Use healthy plants for seed production in seed fields, and combine this with aphid control to propagate disease-free seeds. For ordinary seeds, remove brown-speckled grains before sowing to reduce seed-borne pathogens and lower the sources of field infection.

3) Control aphids to prevent disease: Controlling aphids before flowering, especially at the seedling stage, can reduce the further spread of viral diseases in the field. Common methods are as follows: ① Before sowing, apply 3% carbofuran granules in furrows at 2-4 kg per mu, cover with soil, and then sow, avoiding contact between seeds and the pesticide. ② At the seedling stage or adult plant stage, spray 40% omethoate emulsifiable concentrate at 1000-2000 times dilution, or 5% esfenvalerate emulsifiable concentrate at 2000-3000 times dilution, or 20% fenvalerate emulsifiable concentrate or 2.5% deltamethrin emulsifiable concentrate at 3000 times dilution, spraying 40-50 kg of solution per mu.
