Kiwifruit anthracnose is a disease caused by fungi of the subphylum Deuteromycotina, and it greatly affects kiwifruit yield, so what pesticide should be used for kiwifruit anthracnose?

1. Main symptoms of kiwifruit anthracnose

Anthracnose generally starts from the edges of kiwifruit leaves, initially appearing water-soaked, then turning into brown irregular lesions. The boundary between diseased and healthy tissue is distinct. In the later stage, the center of the lesion turns grayish-white and the edges dark brown. The edges of affected leaves curl, and the leaves tend to crack when dry, with many small black dots scattered on the upper surface of the lesions.

When fruit is infected, small pale brown spots the size of a pinhead appear on the green fruit surface in the early stage, round with clear edges; in the later stage, the white spots gradually expand and turn brown or dark brown. The surface is slightly sunken, and when cut lengthwise through the diseased part, the flesh of the diseased fruit turns brown and rots, and the rot can reach the core. This disease can occur throughout the entire growth period of kiwifruit, but the damage is more severe from the early fruiting stage to leaf fall.

2. Control measures for kiwifruit anthracnose

Control measures for kiwifruit anthracnose are mainly divided into two parts: prevention and treatment. Preventive measures mainly reduce the production of pathogens, and the main measures are as follows:

1. Pay attention to timely pinching and tying of vines so that the orchard is well ventilated and lets light through, apply nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers reasonably to improve the plant's disease resistance, and pay attention to drainage after rain to prevent waterlogging.

2. Combine pruning with winter orchard cleanup, and burn diseased and dead plant material.

3. After harvest, clean the orchard, prune out diseased and pest-infested branches and dead branches, and burn them in a centralized manner to reduce sources of disease and pest infection.

When carrying out drug treatment after disease onset, generally during the disease period use Liangguoan at 150-300 times + Wofengsu at 600 times + garlic oil at 1000-1500 times and spray 3 times, with an interval of 3-5 days each time. You can also use agents such as methyl-thiophanate isoprothiolane, iprodione prochloraz, prochloraz, carbendazim bromothalonil, difenoconazole bromothalonil, fluopyram, etc. for spraying.

That is all for kiwifruit anthracnose. If abnormal phenomena appear in kiwifruit trees, be sure to determine the cause in time and carry out targeted treatment promptly.
