High-Efficiency Cultivation Experience of Interplanting Onions with Plastic-Film Peanuts
I. Raising Onion Seedlings. Sow onions around August 25 of the first year (for every mu of onions planted, 0.05 mu of seedlings is needed, with a seeding rate of 0.25 kg). 2-3 days before sowing, use 25% nitrofen to control weeds in the seedbed, and pay attention to controlling underground pests during the seedling stage. Before the soil freezes, dig a temporary planting trench near the seedbed that is 50 cm wide and 20 cm deep (spread a layer of sand in the trench), tie the onion seedlings into bundles, and plant them densely in the trench for temporary planting, cover the top tightly with fine sand, and add a cover of straw to prevent cold wind from entering and damaging the onion seedlings.

Four key points to note in fox farming
Foxes have very high economic value. Their main product, fox fur, belongs to the large-hair fur category and has the advantages of being tough and wear-resistant, soft and lightweight, warm and attractive. It is a high-quality raw material for making fur products such as fur collars, hats and fur mattresses. How to raise them reasonably so they create higher value

Key Technical Points for High-Yield and High-Quality Freshwater Shrimp (Macrobrachium nipponense) Aquaculture
(1) Monoculture of freshwater shrimp in ponds. 1. Pond conditions: area of 5-10 mu, water depth of 0.8-1.5 m, firm and leak-proof pond embankments, slope of 1:(2-3), flat pond bottom slightly inclined toward the drainage outlet, and silt not exceeding 20 cm. 2. Preparation before stocking: ① Chemical pond clearing: 7-10 days before stocking, fill with 20 cm of water, apply 100-125 kg of quicklime per mu after slaking, and splash evenly over the entire pond for clearing and disinfection to remove wild fish and harmful organisms; ② Aquatic plant planting: species include Hydrilla verticillata, Potamogeton maackianus, etc., with the planting area accounting for 30-50% of the pond area, then fill with water and fertilize. 3. Water quality management: ① Use microbial preparations: such as EM bacteria, photosynthetic bacteria, etc. From late August to early November, use biological bacteria once every 15 days depending on the medication situation to improve the pond water environment. ② Microporous aeration: equip one 3 kW microporous aeration pump for every 20 mu, lay main pipes parallel to the two long sides of each pond, and install 6 disc-type microporous pipe discs with a diameter of 1.5 m per mu of pond. Dissolved oxygen should be above 5 mg/L. When dissolved oxygen in the shrimp pond falls below 5 mg/L, turn on the aeration pump. Aeration time is generally from 12:00 to 16:00 in the afternoon and from 24:00 at night to 6:00 the next morning, and should be extended on rainy or muggy days. 4. Feeding management: mainly feed complete compound feed for freshwater shrimp of different specifications at different stages, supplemented with rice bran and other feed in the early stage. Feed twice a day, with 1/3 in the morning and 2/3 in the afternoon. Adhere to the "four observations" (observe the season, observe the weather, observe the water color, observe feeding activity) and the "four fixeds" (fixed time, fixed location, fixed quality, fixed quantity). The daily feeding amount is 3-7% of shrimp body weight, and the specific feeding amount should be consumed within 2-3 hours. The feed coefficient for the whole season is 1.5-1.8. (2) Mixed culture of shrimp and crabs in ponds. There is no limit to the pond area, but generally no more than 50 mu is appropriate, with a water depth of 1.0-1.5 m. Pond clearing, disinfection, and grass planting are carried out according to the operating procedures for river crab culture. Stock 5-8 silver carp and bighead carp per mu, put in 200-250 kg of live snails per mu, and plant aquatic plants mainly including Hydrilla verticillata, Potamogeton maackianus, Elodea nuttallii, etc., with the aquatic plant coverage controlled at about 60%. During the growth period of young shrimp in autumn, apply fertilizer appropriately and feed a small amount of powdered feed. When using insecticides and disinfectants, avoid both the peak molting period of river crabs and the peak molting period of freshwater shrimp.</p>

High-Yield Pheasant Farming and Feeding Management Experience
(1) Breeding superior stock requires the female pheasant to be strong in constitution, weighing 1-1.5 kg, well-proportioned in build, well developed, docile in temperament, lively and active, with bright red wattles and combs, and large, spirited eyes. The male pheasant should be well-proportioned in all parts, well developed, with well-developed breast muscles, bright red comb, a loud

How to Cope with the High-Temperature Season in Outdoor Pond Softshell Turtle Farming
In the process of ecological softshell turtle farming in outdoor ponds, the high-temperature season is a critical stage. During high temperatures, softshell turtles have a large feed intake and grow quickly, but this is also the peak period for disease outbreaks. If management is poor, it can cause significant economic losses for farmers, so how well the high-temperature season management is done will directly affect

How to breed high-quality queen bees in beekeeping
As the saying goes: one good queen yields a thousand jin of honey. Though this saying is a bit exaggerated, it is enough to show the role of the queen bee in the colony, but a good queen is not obtained easily. Below, the editor has compiled some queen-rearing experience from beekeeping management and explains it as follows.

How to raise yellow mealworms for high and stable yields? Master these key tips
1. Temperature and humidity are the conditions for high and stable yields. The most basic conditions for raising yellow mealworms are temperature and humidity. Growth is normal at a temperature of 20-35°C and a humidity of 60-70%. When farmers raise the temperature in winter, most can raise it above 20°C during the day, but at night it generally drops

Sharing Experience on the Prevention and Treatment of Common Winter Diseases in Domestic Rabbits
Low winter temperatures are unfavorable for the reproduction of pathogenic microorganisms. Therefore, there are relatively fewer diseases. However, because heat preservation and warming measures are generally adopted in winter, people tend to focus on heat preservation and warming while easily neglecting ventilation and air exchange, which increases the content of harmful gases in the rabbit house,

Low-cost, high-efficiency feeding techniques to make beef cattle grow fast
Fattening local yellow cattle grows slowly and gives poor results. For fattening feeder cattle, choose crossbred cattle from improved breeds such as Charolais and Limousin, which can better exploit beef cattle heterosis. After 90 days of fattening, the average daily gain can reach 1.28 kg to 1.46 kg, with good returns. Cattle entering the pen

High-yield breeding techniques for increasing wool production in Angora rabbits in winter
Scientific feeding. Angora rabbits are somewhat selective about feed. For example, they like leafy feed and sweet-tasting feed, and are especially fond of carrots and sulfur-containing feed. Where conditions permit, adding a small amount of sugar, earthworm powder, or vegetable oil to the daily ration can further improve its palatability.
