Vegetable Growing Methods and Tips: How to Grow Vegetables Well
Vegetables are one of the indispensable foods in people's daily diet, providing various vitamins, minerals and other nutrients essential to the human body. So, how do you grow vegetables?
1. How to grow vegetables?
Choose a suitable piece of land, plow it and apply base fertilizer. Buy healthy seeds of the variety you want to grow, soak them to speed up germination, and sow them once the seeds show white sprouts. After the seeds sprout, they can be transplanted and set out. After planting, carry out proper water and fertilizer management, pest and disease control and other related work. There are many vegetable varieties, and the growing methods differ from one variety to another, so adjustments can be made according to the actual situation.
2. Grade Classification of Vegetables
1. Organic vegetables
Organic vegetables refer to vegetables that come from an organic agricultural production system, are produced according to international organic agricultural production technical standards, and have been certified by an independent organic food certification body, allowing them to use the organic food label. Organic vegetables must be produced according to organic farming methods throughout the entire production process, that is, the production process must strictly follow organic food production technical standards, meaning that no chemical substances such as pesticides, chemical fertilizers or growth regulators are used at all, no genetic engineering techniques are used, and the whole process must also undergo quality control and review by an independent organic food certification body. Therefore, the production of organic vegetables must follow the environmental quality requirements and production technical specifications for organic food, so as to ensure their characteristics of being pollution-free, low in energy consumption and high in quality.
2. Green vegetables
According to the concept of green food, green vegetables refer to the general term for pollution-free, safe, high-quality and nutritious vegetables that follow the principle of sustainable development, are produced according to a specific quality standard system on the premise of a good ecological environment in the production area, and have been recognized by a specialized body, allowing them to use the green food label.
3. Pollution-free vegetables
So-called pollution-free vegetables refer to vegetables whose content of harmful substances (such as pesticide residues, heavy metals, nitrites, etc.) is controlled within the permitted range stipulated by the state, so that eating them does not harm human health. They refer to food produced in a clean ecological environment in the production area, according to specific technical operating procedures, with harmful substance content controlled within the stipulated standards, and approved by an authorized department, allowing them to use the pollution-free label. This suits China's current level of agricultural production development and the needs of domestic consumers, and for most producers, meeting this requirement is not very difficult. Contemporary agricultural product production needs to develop from ordinary agricultural products to pollution-free agricultural products, and then to green food or organic food. Green food straddles the gap between pollution-free food and organic food; pollution-free food is the primary stage of green food development, and organic food is green food of higher quality.
Most vegetable growing methods are not difficult; you just need to pay extra attention to water and fertilizer and to pest and disease control after planting.
