Flowers & Gardening 0 views
When you see this name, do you picture leaf after leaf of emerald green? In fact, compared with its flowers, it is the leaves that draw more attention. A large expanse of refreshing green is sure to make many people stop and admire it. However, if it starts dropping its leaves, that is bound to be a real headache. But if this really happens, what should we do?

1. Lighting problems

(1) Cause: First of all, we should understand that this plant is light-loving by nature. So if its growing environment lacks light, it is very likely to become leggy, and this then shows up as leaf drop.

(2) Solution: If this is the cause, then we have to adjust the surrounding environment so that it is not kept in too dark a place for long periods. We can put it on a drying rack or somewhere near a window, so that it can receive indirect light. However, one thing to note is that light that is too strong is also bad for it.

2. Water problems

(1) Cause: If there is too much water, it is very likely to cause root rot first, and then leaf drop. This is also a very possible cause.

(2) Solution: During its vigorous growing season, watering once or twice a week is enough to meet its needs, and the frequency does not need to be too high. In addition, the amount of water given at one time should not be too large. Also, we should adjust according to the specific condition of the potting soil. If you observe that the potting soil has turned pale, then you can water a little; if it is still very wet, then do not water for now.

3. Disease problems

(1) Cause: This plant is susceptible to a disease, namely "leaf spot disease". If it catches this disease, it will also drop leaves.

(2) Solution: First, we have to deal with the diseased leaves. In addition, we can spray a 50% carbendazim solution, once every two weeks, for three or four times in a row. Also, we need to improve ventilation and light exposure.
