Crabs have become a premium food in autumn. Whether for holiday gifts or gatherings with relatives and friends, crabs are always indispensable on the dining table. In recent years, more and more people have been farming crabs, so which crabs bring high profits in 2020? Why not try these three!

1. Swimming crab

Swimming crabs are mostly farmed in coastal areas and are relatively easy to fatten up. There are now corresponding feed manufacturers for swimming crabs, which solves a problem for daily feeding. Their market price is also relatively decent, and the investment-to-income ratio can roughly be controlled at about 1:2.5, meaning an investment of about 100,000 yuan can yield swimming crabs worth about 250,000 yuan, with a net profit of about 150,000 yuan; the higher the investment, the lower the ratio. Friends in coastal areas can try farming swimming crabs. Rent a 20-30 mu coastal pond, and together with other polyculture income, annual earnings can start at 100,000.

2. Mud crab

Mud crab is recommended because it is large, easy to raise, and widely distributed, adapting to a broad range of environments with no obvious farming shortcomings. Secondly, its price is relatively suitable for the market and easy for the public to accept. The farming period is short, generally about half a year before it can be harvested, so capital is recovered quickly; if the market is sluggish, the cost needed to maintain farming is also relatively low. The upfront investment cost is not very high either, so farmers with financial difficulties can consider this species.

3. River crab

This is the most widely farmed type of crab, distributed across China's extensive waters, and the most famous among them is the Chinese mitten crab. Because its growth requirements are extremely low, it can generally be farmed as long as there is a slightly larger river nearby, a condition that leaves farmers subject to relatively few restrictions. Secondly, its varieties range from high to low in price with corresponding species, broadly adapting to the needs of different tiers. In addition, it itself has good brand value on the market, with wide recognition and easy sales. Overall, it counts as a good farming species.

Crab farming should be based on actual market conditions and one's own farming conditions. It is not advisable to farm crabs blindly, otherwise certain losses may be incurred.
