1. What varieties of lucky bamboo are there?
Many people like lucky bamboo and have grown it, but most people only know that what they are growing is lucky bamboo, without knowing which variety it is, and when buying lucky bamboo at the market they cannot tell which variety it is either. Let's take a look below at an introduction to the varieties of lucky bamboo:

Golden Heart Lucky Bamboo is very easy to identify, generally having green-yellow or golden-yellow stripes, relatively distinctive, and its stems are generally rather thick and sturdy.
2. Silver Edge Lucky Bamboo
The edges of Silver Edge Lucky Bamboo generally have a broad silvery-white band, very eye-catching.

4. Golden Edge Lucky Bamboo
Golden Edge Lucky Bamboo and Silver Edge Lucky Bamboo are very alike, one could say they are sister varieties. The only difference is that its leaf edges are golden-yellow.
2. Winter Care Tips for Lucky Bamboo
1. Keep Warm and Protect from Cold
We can find an old cloth and cut it into a rectangle, then wrap it around the outer wall of the container holding the water-grown lucky bamboo and secure it. Then use things like waste newspaper to also wrap the branches and leaves of the lucky bamboo, but be careful not to seal the top, so that air can be exchanged. Finally, place it in a relatively warm spot indoors.
2. Provide Light
The climate in winter is generally rather cold and overcast. If there is a sunny day, promptly remove the old cloth, waste newspaper and similar things wrapping the lucky bamboo, then let the plant get plenty of sun. On sunny days, it is recommended to place the plant in the spot indoors that gets the most sun, so it can fully receive light. When the sun sets and the temperature drops, wrap the plant again with the old cloth, waste newspaper and similar things to keep it warm and protect it from freezing.
3. Change the Water Regularly
In winter, changing the water for water-grown lucky bamboo should not be too frequent, but it still needs to be changed regularly, generally about once a month. The water quality requirements are not particularly high either; just use ordinary clean water, with no need to add nutrient solution. But the water temperature must be ensured, generally keeping it at around 20°C is more suitable.
4. Points to Note
The suitable growing temperature for lucky bamboo is 22-25°C. During the wintering period, the room temperature must be kept above 10°C. Below 13°C, lucky bamboo will enter a dormant state and stop growing. And when the temperature is too low, the water-absorbing capacity of the lucky bamboo roots weakens, causing yellow-brown patches to appear at the leaf tips and leaf edges, which is the phenomenon of lucky bamboo leaves turning yellow. So in winter, prevent frost damage, especially in northern regions; do not place lucky bamboo outdoors, and stop fertilizing and moderate watering, and it can safely overwinter. In addition, if growing lucky bamboo in water, avoid the water freezing and frostbiting the roots.
