What are the history and flower language of eucalyptus essential oil?
The historical record of eucalyptus essential oil and how has it developed and changed? What is the flower language of eucalyptus?
The historical record of eucalyptus essential oil:
The name eucalyptus comes from Greek, where "eu" means "well" and "calyptos" means "covered," and the whole name refers to its tightly covered stamens. Australian Aboriginal peoples called it "kino" and used it to wrap serious wounds. Eucalyptus was introduced to Europe in 1788 as an ornamental tree species, but it was later discovered that it inhibits the growth of plants around it because it releases a chemical toxin into the soil. The first eucalyptus essential oil imported into Britain was extracted from E. piperita, and at the time it was called "Sydney peppermint" and had a soothing effect on digestive problems.
Eucalyptus is called the "heat-resistant tree" by Australian residents, who used its leaves early on to treat fever and also found it effective for treating wounds and inflammation, and who also knew to burn eucalyptus trees to repel insects and clean the surrounding environment; while people on the Mediterranean island of Sicily planted eucalyptus mostly to treat malaria. After eucalyptus was introduced to Europe in the 19th century, antibacterial agents made from eucalyptus and industrially mass-produced disinfectants were developed in the medical system. There are more than 500 species of eucalyptus, native to Australia, and many places have since successfully transplanted and cultivated them, but for extracting essential oil, Australian-produced eucalyptus essential oil (eucalyptus radiata) is still considered the highest quality and is the most widely used by people.
Products with added eucalyptus essential oil are wildly varied, from disinfectants to shoe polish. Yagedan dilutes the essence of eucalyptus and adds plant alcohol that preserves the essential oil, mainly to help respiratory function and make breathing smoother, and since Yagedan launched eucalyptus essential oil, its effects have freed quite a few families from the nightmare of nasal problems, so its sales have always been a popular Yagedan product; even though Yagedan constantly researches and develops various plant essential oils in pursuit of progress, under the increasingly serious global air pollution, the status of eucalyptus essential oil still remains unshaken!
