Abstract:

At present, continuous cropping obstacles have become an important factor restricting the sustainable development of vegetable production in some regions. The causes of continuous cropping obstacles are complex and comprehensive; their occurrence is related not only to soil-borne infectious diseases and the deterioration of soil physical and chemical properties, but also to autotoxicity caused by root exudates and residue decomposition products. Phenolic acids in plant root exudates have been identified as causing autotoxicity in plants and have important effects on rhizosphere microorganisms. This paper discusses the interrelationships between phenolic acids and soil microorganisms from multiple perspectives, reviews research on the interaction relationships and influence mechanisms between phenolic acid substances and rhizosphere microorganisms, and at the same time raises several issues that require further in-depth study in the future regarding phenolic acid substances and rhizosphere microecology. Studying the interactions between phenolic acid substances and soil microorganisms will provide a theoretical basis and practical guidance for controlling continuous cropping obstacles.
