Methods for Identifying Osmanthus Essential Oil, and How Osmanthus Essential Oil Whiten Skin
Osmanthus essential oil can be tested using the following identification methods
Skin reaction
The purer the quality of the essential oil, the stronger its penetration. When purchasing Osmanthus fresh and radiant essential oil, you can apply the test oil lightly to the back of your hand or the inner wrist, then gently massage with your fingertips two or three times. A good-quality essential oil will be absorbed instantly and will not leave a shiny oily residue on the skin.
Experimental method. Drop Osmanthus fresh and radiant essential oil onto a paper towel; it will naturally release its fragrance, leave no oil stain after drying, and the fragrance will still last. Impure essential oils will produce oil stains, and the scent will quickly evaporate and disappear. In addition, when essential oil is dropped into cold water, some will float on the surface as a layer, and some drops will sink entirely to the bottom; although they do not diffuse, the scent already fills the entire cup. When dropped into hot water, pure essential oil will rapidly diffuse into tiny particles in the water, while impure essential oil will form a floating oil layer.
Aromatic scent
Pure natural essential oils smell fragrant and rich, whereas artificially synthesized scents are not delicate enough by comparison, though the difference may only be discernible by beauty experts. The aromatic components in essential oil can easily and evenly diffuse in alcohol; even if only a very small amount of essential oil is contained, or it is made by chemical synthesis, it may still pass as genuine. Therefore, choosing a reputable brand or seller is especially important. According to clinical reports, only a scent that feels comfortable can truly relieve stress, so an essential oil fragrance you like the smell of will be a good essential oil suitable for you.
