Gongliao Hehe Rice Terraces Rice and Environmental Services Reservation: Lend a Hand and Join the Conservation Effort
If all it takes is speaking up, would you be willing to invest in your own future and join in conservation together?
Now in its third year, the friendly farming of the Hehe Water Terraces carries, besides its function of food production, the missions of: flood and drought regulation, water source conservation, habitat for endangered wetland wildlife, and keeping migration corridors open for fish, shrimp, snails and crabs; this care for biodiversity and water resources is a commitment that has value but no price tag.
Now this commitment needs you to speak up. We are seeking conservation "partners" to give chopsticks and hoes multiplied strength, so that a grain of rice and a bowl of rice can invest more durably in the future!
- Fill out and submit the "Hehuo Registration Form" by 2013/6/12 (before the Dragon Boat Festival); before joining, please read the "Hehuo Notes" (embedded hyperlink) to learn more about what partners support and what it involves. For further information, you are welcome to contact "Li Hehe Little Granary." Contact phone: 02-24942071; 0936-093889. E-mail: [email protected]the 2014 Spring Festival
- One satoyama by-product from the water terraces will be given as a gift, limited to grain-type members! Thank you for helping with the operation of the Hehe Water Terrace production team.
- In autumn, a "Hehuo Partners Origin Trip" will be held; you are welcome to come and witness the diverse value of the water terraces beyond food production.
