Local coarse grains combined with craft revive Shengmu Health Farm, Gongdong Vocational High School develops pure wood mortise-and-tenon tofu molds

Taitung St. Mary Health Farm and Kung-Tung Senior Industrial Vocational School jointly developed a tofu DIY mold at the end of last year, put 100 sets up for trial sale, and sold out within 30 days. This tofu DIY mold is made by the highly skilled woodcraft center of Kung-Tung Senior Industrial Vocational School, using mortise-and-tenon joinery with no nails used at all. Lai Chi-tai, head of the environmental education section at St. Mary Health Farm, said that as long as the general public buys non-GMO, locally grown soybeans and pairs them with a tofu mold, they can make tofu at home and personally take part in the local coarse grain revival movement that has emerged in recent years.
