From collective purchasing to food and agriculture education: The Future in a Bowl forum

General News By Emily Carter 0 views

1. Forum Description:

Starting from the bowl, we see that the food, environment, and next generation so closely tied to our lives are facing ever more severe challenges. Capitalist economic development has indirectly and gradually stripped away our right to choose. How to turn the future around is something we must strive for and think about. The cooperative starts from collective purchasing; a group of mothers and housewives works hard so that more and more people can eat healthy, safe, and locally produced food. But back in schools and surrounding communities, more people do not know or understand the importance of food. How to start from the bowl, help more people understand and value this, and eat toward the vision of sustainable agriculture, is the goal that the Homemakers United Cooperative will work toward in the future.

2. Forum Objectives:

1. To organize the action discourse of the Homemakers United Cooperative, starting from non-GM tofu to launch a dining table revolution, as well as the practices carried out by members.

2. To connect with external experience and jointly think about and learn from the future action development and possibilities of the Homemakers United Cooperative in food and agriculture education.

3. To empower each branch and regional cadre to think about how to use stations (or regional groups) as bases to exchange and promote food and agriculture education with schools and communities.
