Students from the DoubleG team of the Department of Public Relations and Advertising at Kun Shan University are now assisting the Gancuo community in Yunlin County in holding a special exhibition documenting local history and culture. The students turned historical photos of the community into small booklets distributed at the exhibition venue, and also personally built a photo wall to showcase the beautiful times of the village and its residents, the fields and farming families.

The team has worked with the community for nearly half a year, and the students also made certificates of appreciation to present to the community village chief, the association chairman, the school principal and the head of the Tianzhu Temple, thanking the Gancuo community for its assistance and support to the team.

Nearly one hundred people, young and old, men and women, took part in the Gancuo community special exhibition documenting local history and culture, jointly attending this extraordinary community event. The historical photo wall at the venue drew the attention of visiting residents. The wall was covered with community records photographed by the Kun Shan University team, including many images such as the community mobilization for a major cleanup, elderly residents and children, farming families harvesting garlic, and the procession of the community's old temple. Record photos from the community's past activities were also displayed in the form of small booklets, and will later be kept at the activity center of the community development association for residents to enjoy and also serve as documentary archives for the community.

In addition, the Kun Shan University team also produced exquisite postcards and group activity photos, offered free for residents to take. Some residents even hoped to order extra prints of the photos on the photo wall to take home as keepsakes.

The DoubleG team of Kun Shan University began serving the Gancuo community in Yunlin County in the summer vacation of the 100th year of the Republic of China, including community promotion, assistance with agricultural marketing and audio-visual documentation of community history. During the early days of the team's stay in the village, they experienced a day as a farmer planting garlic, understood local needs and then helped the Gancuo community in greater depth. They once held a "Hundred-Person Greening and Beautification" event, inviting all community members to clean up their homeland together, and also a "Community Mothers' Giving-Back Banquet," tasting delicious garlic dishes with community residents and strengthening community spirit. They also took part in the community's annual major event, the "Procession and Blessing of the Old Matriarch of the Century-Old Tianzhu Temple," assisting with manpower and audio-visual documentation support. In the future, they will continue to promote the direction of garlic marketing for the Gancuo community, working to showcase the new face of this rural community.
