Gongliao Hehe Winter Mini Trip warmly debuts, inviting you to a winter appointment

In winter, following the tracks of migratory birds,

you arrive at this borderland where mountains meet plains and rivers meet the sea - Tianliaoyang,

and see what different definitions this "international airport in the rice paddies" holds for birds and for people.

Follow the water that nourishes Tianliaoyang back upstream to its source,

and take in the quiet rice terraces that are quietly gathering energy;

once again, search for the cattle together with the Lishan experts - unlike the misty encounters at Niupu,

this time you will help Teacher Cow in the fields prepare winter food,

and dig out from the experts the relationships between these plants and life on Lishan.

Visit Tianliaoyang

[Gongliao Shuangyuli]

  • Get to know the Tianliaoyang wetland, understand its geographical environment and ecological status, and see what conditions can attract about half of Taiwan's bird species to have inhabited here?

  • Visit the tracks of winter migratory birds, and you may have a chance to catch a glimpse of them!

Flavors of Gongliao Satoyama

  • In a cozy Tianliao stone house, taste Gongliao people's home-style meal.

  • Chat with the satoyama families.

  • Screening of "He He Sui Ji," sharing the story of rice terrace conservation in Gongliao.

  • Lishan mini market - don't miss the local agricultural products and cultural creative items!

  • Starting from the rice terraces, step out together with the experts to find winter food for Teacher Cow.

  • Let's have a tangyuan contest! See who can roll, pinch, press, curl, and roll out the most distinctive tangyuan!

  • Head home with a bag full of harvest~

[Can I Join the He He Winter Mini Trip?]

If you are a senior high school or vocational school student or older, an adult, or a third-grade elementary school student or above accompanied by a parent, and you have carefully read the activity reminders in the brochure and assessed that you are willing and able to join this activity that may involve sun and wind, then you are welcome to register.

[Activity Reminders and Notes]

  1. The He He production team takes environmental conservation and local cultural heritage as its purpose, so activities will be conducted with strict care for the friendliness to residents' lives and the environment. During the activity, please cooperate and follow the guidelines of the leaders.

  2. Please bring your own eco-friendly chopsticks, drinking water, and rain gear, and prepare spare personal clothing as needed.

  3. In support of the rice terrace conservation project, during the activity there will be video recording or media filming, so please only decide to participate after you can accept this. We will ask you to fill out a portrait rights consent form,to ensure your consent is used only to support this conservation project.

  1. 2014 December5 (Friday) online registration opens from 10:00 AM10:00 until one week before the activity, but only until spaces are full! Please go to the [Lishan He He Little Barn]BLOG (http://monghoho.blogspot.tw/) and clickActivity Info and Registration to register.
  • 01/06 session: Lishan He He rents a twenty-seat minibus, gathering and departing from Taipei Station; the activity fee includes the bus fare;01/10 session: participants drive themselves and gather in Gongliao; the activity fee does not include the bus fare.
  • Joining01/06 (departure by Lishan He He from Taipei City): 1,200 yuan per person. Includes: minibus transportation, lunch and snacks, lecturers and activity leaders, activity accident insurance (100 ten-thousand accident insurance + 10 ten-thousand accident medical treatment), materials and environmental upkeep, and administrative costs. Any surplus will support the conservation operations of the He He production team.
  • Joining01/10 (participants drive themselves to Gongliao): 800 yuan per person. Includes: lunch and snacks, lecturers and activity leaders, activity accident insurance (100 ten-thousand accident insurance + 10 ten-thousand accident medical treatment), materials and environmental upkeep, and administrative costs. Any surplus will support the conservation operations of the He He production team.
