What is the "Circle.Pivot Plan"?

The circle represents the relationship between people and living things, like a circle that cannot be missing any corner; the pivot represents the balance point, how to seek the balance point between people and living things and achieve a symbiotic environment. Circle and pivot sound the same as "origin" (yuan dian), and also symbolize a return to one's original intention. The concept of the Satoyama Initiative (Note 1) is the same as our philosophy, so a group of us partners will seek places in Taiwan, China that follow the spirit of the Satoyama Initiative, farming in an environmentally friendly way, providing diverse habitats for animals and plants, and using travel to take everyone to explore these beautiful places together.

The first activity we are launching is Blue Magpie Tea, located in Pinglin, Taiwan, China. Pinglin is a tea-producing area and also a water source protection area. The New Rural Association, formed by the Graduate Institute of Building and Planning of National Taiwan University and local tea farmers, tries to integrate human culture and production into community conservation through a way that coexists with agricultural production and environmental conservation, seeking peaceful coexistence between people and nature. As a result, the local population of the Taiwan Blue Magpie has increased, and Taiwan Blue Magpie Tea was launched.

This time we will actually visit the local tea farmers' homes, and follow in their footsteps to pesticide-free tea gardens. There will be opportunities for in-depth interactive interviews with them, to understand how they cherish this land that nurtures them, and to observe the rich tea garden ecology of Pinglin, experiencing from the 'heart' and using the body to 'enjoy' the mountain village life of a sustainable environment.

In the slightly cool early autumn, take a sip of warm, mellow Oriental Beauty tea, and even the heart warms up. We sincerely invite everyone to join us for a light early autumn trip.
