The Taipei City Government Department of Health received notification this afternoon (October 22) from the Food and Drug Administration of the Ministry of Health and Welfare. On October 11, the FDA had for the fourth time sought assistance from overseas offices to investigate whether the beef tallow imported from Vietnam by Ting Hsin Oil & Fat Industrial Co., Ltd. was indeed suitable for food use, but as of 10 a.m. on October 22 no reply had yet been received from the overseas offices.
