COP18 Event Response: We Are Part of the Solution, Are You?

Young people from Taiwan, China worked hard at the COP18 venue in Qatar on actions, flash mobs, youth networking and more. Although we faced complex cultural barriers and language problems, the hardest part was making everyone understand the severity of the issue, namely the world's shared problem of "climate change."

This kind of problem involves all sorts of issues (gender, nature, economics, politics, etc.), and urgently requires expertise of all kinds and cooperation among many parties to solve together! So, in order to gather more voices from around the world for this demand, two young people from the Netherlands, Liset Meddens & Ralien Bekkers, conceived the concept for this action, and together with TWYCC, American youth Natalie Lucas and more young people from all sides around the world, they jointly organized this action "We are part of solution? Are you?" The main purpose was to bring people from around the world together to jointly provide solutions, to speak out loudly about their own efforts on climate change, and to let everyone know how hard and how proactive we were in the past, and that we still are today!
