2016[Learning from the Land]Environmental Education Series Promotion Activities
In line with the 2016 "Year of Rebuilding the Value of Land" promotion theme of the Yilan County Environmental Protection Bureau, the Human-Ecology Foundation, in cooperation with the Guardians of Yilan Workshop, proposed the "Learning from the Land" environmental education promotion plan and organized three series of promotional activities. First, in cooperation with local small farmers, it planned and carried out[Earth and Soil - Iron Horse Mini Travel], holding four experience tours that are friendly to the environment and bring people closer to the land. Second,[Livable Co-learning Club]invited local young farmer friends to take part in co-learning courses, to gain an in-depth understanding and experience of environmental issues in daily life, and to substantively participate in long-term actions to improve the environment. Finally, in November,[Living Well]sharing forums will be held, so that we who live in Yilan can think together about practical ways we can live well in the aspects of food, clothing, housing, transportation, education and recreation.

In order to increase the attention and action of students and the public in Yilan County toward the concept of farmland protection, the foundation and the "Guardians of Yilan Workshop" jointly completed the paddy field display content in 2015, and with the support of the Yilan County History Museum, from July to October this year, in conjunction with the "Learning from the Land" environmental education series promotion activities, it continued to carry out traveling displays. It is hoped that through the display, viewers' concern for farmland conservation will be awakened. Local schools, libraries or enterprise units in Yilan are welcome to make good use of it!
