A learning journey from farm to table

Following the Homemakers United Foundation learning train, we begin with getting to know the place of origin to the processing process, to the purchasing channels, to table cooking. Beyond becoming smart consumers, we also want to become guardians of table food safety. The Homemakers United Foundation has for many years paid attention to environmental protection and upheld food safety, and hopes that this meat learning journey can identify the crux of the problems, supervise poor and unlawful operators, uncover the harms at the production or distribution end, and guard consumer rights. It also advocates local production and local sales to increase the food self-sufficiency rate, improve the lives and welfare of poultry and livestock, and boost consumer knowledge that in turn drives industry progress.

Class location: Homemakers United Foundation Large Conference Room (5F-1, No. 4, Lane 160, Section 3, Tingzhou Road, Taipei City)

Exit 1 of MRT Gongguan Station, 3-5 minutes on foot

Class time: 4/29-6/03 every Friday morning 10:00-12:00

To register for a single class, simply fill in your information directly on the website

Class fee: 100 yuan per class (used to support the Homemakers United Foundation in holding food agriculture and food safety related activities)

Pay on site for each class; those who take 2 or more classes (inclusive) in this series get priority registration for the June off-campus visit to the meat processing plant.
