Ginger tea brewed with rice straw, have you ever tried this method?

Recently there was a report that the Netherlands passed legislation: phosphorus extracted from human urine through a newly developed device at wastewater facilities can be used as phosphate fertilizer in agriculture.

Seeing this news, even though the weather is not very cold, I suddenly felt a chill run down my spine.

Why? Others can turn even urine into gold, while in Taiwan, even turning agricultural waste into fuel is fraught with difficulties?

"If you tell the whole story, the tears just won't stop flowing!"

The first time I learned that agricultural waste could be made into fuel was at the Yunlin Agriculture Expo.

Can rice straw also be burned as firewood?

Near the exit of the agriculture expo, there was an unremarkable container truck, with two large stoves that looked a lot like sweet potato roasters placed beside it, a pile of discarded straw next to them, sticks that looked like brown sugar blocks piled on the table, and hot ginger tea boiling on the stove, offered free of charge. The staff carefully handed it over with both hands and reminded everyone: "Be careful, it's very hot!" Which organization provides such good service? Looking closely: Yunlin County Environmental Protection Bureau - Mobile Rice Straw Reuse and Solid Derived Fuel Project - Agricultural Residual Material Transport Vehicle.

Quite a mouthful, but this little monster caught my interest. I observed the sticks on the table; there were many different materials, with different flavors such as rice grains, rice straw, corn stalks, sugarcane bagasse, wood chips, palm oil residue and so on. After asking around, it turned out these were fuel rods, and the large stove beside them (a gasifier) was specifically used to burn these fuel rods.
