Farming for three years, getting a like from an old farmer for the first time
Editor's note: The author is a young female farmer who grows rice in Yilan. Not only is her farming method environmentally friendly, her pricing is extremely friendly too. Not only is her rice priced below the market rate, the price is also set according to consumers' income levels, and consumers pay voluntarily based on their own conscience, which is quite unusual. This article is the author's reflections shared after the 2012 rice harvest, and works by other partners farming with the author in Yilan will be published in the future as well. Friends interested in the rice the author grows, please see the information at the end of the article.

2012 was the third year of my farming career. Having come this far, I can no longer say I'm still in the toddler class, because after three years there really are some things that have accumulated and settled in my heart.
From the growth timeline of the rice, I have a better grasp of what work should be done at what time, and I can better understand and manage how to respond to or reinforce conditions in the field area, unlike last year when expanding the area left me in a frantic mess. More importantly, this year I have a deeper understanding of the meaning behind the phrase "watching the sky to eat" –
