Before returning to his hometown, he worked as a firmware engineer at Proview Electronics. He wrote automotive electronic products for General Motors in the United States, then ran into the Lehman Brothers financial crisis, which affected General Motors, and after four years of work he still could not see any future in his career. Every day he faced a computer at work with a sense of powerlessness, and he thought about what he really needed. One chance encounter, brewing tea with an elderly man, he said drinking tea is a kind of enjoyment, and drinking good tea is an indescribable emotion. Watching the happiness on their faces, he thought of how when he was little his parents followed his grandparents in making tea, and his parents often took them up into the mountains to enjoy the environment there and that spiritual happiness. Right then he made up his mind to return to Yilan and grow tea leaves.
Back in his hometown, he thought about how to change agriculture, no longer running it the traditional way. During one session of spraying pesticide with his father, he breathed in the foul-smelling pesticide and made up his mind that, for the sake of his own health and his father's, he would revolt against his father and make organic, non-toxic tea. After 4 years of arguments and adjustment, he gradually achieved results, and also won his father over to accept growing non-toxic organic tea, working together with one heart to keep striving for health and sustainability.

Young people strive to reform new agriculture, gradually reducing land left fallow and damage to farmhouses, all just to preserve Taiwan's clean agricultural land, cultural environment and healthy food. We young farmers alone are not enough; we need the support of everyone in Taiwan, so that young people can make agricultural land sustainable and pass on culture.
