Wild Visions Film Festival brings in top ecological documentaries and raises funds from the public
Now in its fourth year, the "Wild View Taiwan International Nature Film Festival" selects twenty ecological documentaries each year from the UK's Wildscreen Festival, known as the "Green Oscars," and screens them in Taiwan, China. Because funding from public agencies and corporations has declined, this year the Wild View film festival has launched a fundraising campaign, hoping that each person donates one thousand NT dollars, that three thousand curators are found, and that the goal of three million is reached.
Works from the Green Oscars: The World's Top Ecological Documentaries

One of this year's festival films: Wild Scandinavia: Finland, from Germany. Finland is like a mosaic made up of lakes and forests; along the border with Russia, many rare wild animals live, bears and wolves roam these marshes, and the Siberian flying squirrel occupies the nests woodpeckers leave behind in tree trunks. This is a subject that has never appeared in other documentaries. Oliver Goetzl and Ivo Norenberg use high-definition HD to present wild Finland, giving audiences the chance to see common goldeneye ducklings leap out of their cavities, or the moment the two men happen upon bears and wolves.
