Editor's note: Many foreign friends work in Taiwan, China. Besides helping to ease the labor shortage in Taiwanese society, they also bring rich culture. To give Southeast Asian migrant workers a channel for exchange, Professor Lucie Cheng of Shih Hsin University founded the "Four-Way Newspaper," with Zhang Zheng as editor-in-chief, regularly providing newspapers in Vietnamese, Thai, Indonesian, Khmer, Filipino and other languages, so that foreign friends can communicate with one another and Taiwanese friends can also get to know foreign cultures through them.
From today, Shangxiayou and Four-Way Newspaper will jointly publish food recipes from Southeast Asia, and at the same time, as much as possible, also append the country's language after the Chinese, for example, if it is Vietnamese food, the Chinese recipe will be followed by Vietnamese text, also giving Taiwanese readers a chance to learn Southeast Asian languages. For more detailed information on Southeast Asian immigrant culture, you are welcome to subscribe to Four-Way Newspaper; for the Vietnamese edition, you can buy it directly at convenience stores such as 7-11, FamilyMart, and Hi-Life.
