Open farm friends become chefs, and the safety of fruits and vegetables is visible
"Wow! So this is what a wax apple flower looks like!" "The path feels so soft, like a trampoline!" Bursts of surprise rose here and there in the organic wax apple orchard just outside Pingtung City! On the New Year's Day holiday, Saturday 1/3, more than 20 adults and children from Taipei, Taoyuan, Changhua, Kaohsiung and Pingtung gathered at the farm open day held by Mingshan Organic Farm, having a wonderful time!
This was farmer Gong Mingshan's first orchard open day this year; in the future, 1-2 events are expected to be held every month, inviting members of the public interested in organic cultivation to come to the production site in person to experience it, listen to the farmer share his experience, and, through transparent information sharing, hopefully close the gap between ordinary people's consumer mindset and farmers' practical operations.
On the first weekend of 2015, old and new friends from all over, strangers to one another, met in the organic orchard under the warm winter sun, spent a wonderful time together, and drew closer to one another in heart! In the future the orchard will continue to hold open days, and looks forward to forming good connections with more like-minded friends!
