The Secrets of Honey (1): Why Do Humans Need to Eat Sweets?

General News By Emily Carter 0 views

"Wellness is not the responsibility of food; the choice lies with people, and so does the responsibility." With food safety issues cropping up frequently in recent years, besides longing for food producers to stay good and honest, we should also work hard to learn and think, and make good choices in every purchase.

For ten years, Green in Hand has built genuine friendships with farming friends, run its business with care, and accumulated knowledge. Now, starting with "honey," which is suitable for everyone from age one to one hundred, we will digest important food knowledge articles into common sense and share them with you, who is also a person living life.

Carbohydrates Are Not Simply Sugar

Carbohydrates mostly have a sweet taste. Sweet things are like love: they can affect human health. Don't say you don't need them. Once you understand what they do for your body, you will realize how important they are! So it is with carbohydrates, and so it is with love (huh?).

Carbohydrates, composed of the three elements carbon (C), hydrogen (H), and oxygen (O), are also called carbs.
According to molecular size and the way they are digested, they fall into three categories: monosaccharides, disaccharides, and polysaccharides:
"Monosaccharides"
These are further divided into glucose, fructose, and galactose. They can be directly absorbed by the body to be used or stored as energy.
"Disaccharides"
These refer to lactose, sucrose, and maltose, such as artificially made granulated sugar and rock sugar. They must be converted into monosaccharides by the digestive organs before absorption.
"Polysaccharides"
These include starch, cellulose, and pectin, sourced from starch, vegetables, and fruits. Starch also needs to be broken down and absorbed by the digestive organs, while cellulose and pectin cannot be digested by the stomach and intestines but are nutrients beneficial to the human body.

Take an Appropriate Amount Daily to Maintain Good Health

  1. Provide the Body with Energy

When you are in love, do you always feel radiant and full of energy? Just like carbohydrates are the nutrient that is most easily converted into energy! When the body lacks carbohydrates, you will feel hungry, or even dizzy.

  1. Ensure Normal Fat Metabolism in the Body

Taking in an appropriate amount of carbohydrates in your diet can maintain normal fat metabolism and produce heat energy

  1. Spare Protein

Carbohydrates, which exist in the human body in the form of glucose and glycogen, will be used first by the body when you need heat energy, so there is no need to break down protein and fat as a substitute. Preserve the protein in your body well, so that protein can focus on its main jobs: building and regenerating important tissues of the human body, including muscles, organs, enzymes, and hormones.

  1. Maintain the Function of Specific Organs

Glycogen stored in the liver and muscles is an important element for maintaining brain (central nervous system) function

  1. Synthesize Vitamins and Help Nutrient Absorption

Carbohydrates in the intestines even provide energy for beneficial microorganisms in the body and synthesize vitamin B, maintaining the health of the nervous system and blood in addition, lactose is favorable for the growth of acidophilic bacteria in the intestines and can help the body absorb calcium

Of course, falling in love may also achieve the same effect of strengthening the pleasant feelings of the heart, lungs, and nervous system; having a good partner who cares about each other's health is even more helpful for ensuring fat metabolism and providing nutrition. Tell me, isn't it indispensable in this life?

Since the impact is so significant, we should get to know the one you eat carbohydrate sources well. After all, choosing a well-absorbed sugar is just as important as choosing a love you can communicate with well, isn't it? (laughs)
