Come sign up for an event that is delicious, fun, and rich in meaning! On the eve of the Dragon Boat Festival, the Luodong Nature Education Center is once again offering its popular, sought-after activity, "Grandma's Cyperus malaccensis." Join us on May 17 (Sat) from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. as we work together to prepare fillings from aquatic plants, turning taro, water bamboo, lotus seeds, and water chestnuts into ingredients, using wild ginger flower leaves as rice-dumpling wrappers, and steaming up delicious, mouthwatering zongzi to feast on! Then get creative and learn to weave Cyperus malaccensis into playful children's toys, discover the wisdom of earlier generations in using aquatic plants, and find out just how close aquatic plants really are to us! And think about how, in modern life, we should use natural materials to realize the concept and practice of a sustainable environment!

We warmly welcome parent-child teams with children in third grade or above (born on or before September 1, ROC year 94) and members of the general public aged 18 and over to sign up! The registration period runs through May 7 (Wed), with a maximum of 40 participants, closed once full, at a cost of 300 yuan per person. For event details, please see the Luodong Nature Education Center blog (http://luodong-nec.blogspot.com), the Luodong Forest District Office website (http://luodong.forest.gov.tw), and the Renhe Environmental Ethics Development Foundation website (http://www.eeft.org.tw), or call the Luodong Nature Education Center at (03) 954-0823 for inquiries.
