The farmers of Lunshan Community grow these on forest land in Zhuoxi Township, Hualien, on a gentle slope with no industrial road. Because there is no industrial road, after harvesting the farmers still have to carry the fruit about 800 m out of the tangerine orchard before the tangerines can be loaded onto a vehicle and taken away. But because the growing site is remote, there is a natural buffer zone, and the whole process follows natural farming methods, with no pesticides or chemical fertilizers applied.
The wild, free-range cultivation method of natural farming means the tangerine army of Lunshan Community does not have a pretty, pristine appearance, and some are even uneven in size, but every single tangerine has a passionate, full and sweet heart! Its shape is similar to the tankan tangerine, and the flesh is fine-textured and very 'juicy' (Juicy)! If you miss out on such delicious tangerines just because you dislike their ugly looks, that would really be a shame.
