Vocational college students migrate back to rural South China, bringing inspiration for young people's lives

Rural issues have been a topic of global concern in recent years, encompassing problems such as aging populations, industry and culture that accompany the outflow of people…and so on. All of these require many processes of social practice to verify, or actual hands-on operation, in order to propose better solutions or strategies.

In recent years, the Soil and Water Conservation Bureau of the Council of Agriculture, Executive Yuan, has taken the perspective of young people and successively proposed related policies such as the Youth Returning Home to Build Dreams program, the Vocational College Student Migration program, and Youth Return and Stay…and so on. In promoting these policies, besides giving young people the opportunity to find chances for practice, they have also brought a new force of youth to the countryside. At the beginning of 107, the "Vocational College Student Migration to Rural Villages Farm Stay" activity was seen. Through a five-day, four-night short trip, students from colleges and universities were able to experience rural life, making young people willing to enter the countryside and, through understanding rural life, further discover the possibilities of the countryside.

There were ten sessions in total, each distributed to communities in different counties and cities. One of the sessions was stationed at the Huanan Community in Gukeng Township, Yunlin County. The participating college students came from different schools in the north, central and south of Taiwan, including National Taiwan University, National Chung Hsing University, National Cheng Kung University, etc. Although the students' departmental backgrounds also differed, including students from different departments such as mass communication, business administration, and nursing, students from different family environments and with different specialties gathered together. After entering the countryside, what kind of sparks would they create?
