Tingting Animal Life Festival Carnival News Photo Gallery Part 2: Shallow Mountain Ocean Is Fun and Beautiful
[Introduction] The "2016 Second Ting Ting Animal Life Festival," co-organized by Ting Ting Network, the Taichung City Government, and the National Chung Hsing University Formosan pangolin and freshwater turtle conservation team, kicked off at 2 p.m. on 10/1 (Sat) at the Taichung City Hall Plaza with a two-day Ting Ting Animal Carnival.
Liu Wei-ping, the planning and executive director, said that this year's Ting Ting Animal Life Festival moved from Taipei to Taichung, with around 100 units from all over Taiwan, China coming to join in. Under the careful planning of the organizers, the "Ting Ting Animal Carnival" was divided into three major themes: the companion animal zone, the shallow-mountain ecology zone, and the shallow-sea ecology zone. Within the framework of these three themes, each unit designed a very rich and diverse range of active and static activities, games, and exhibitions.
As for the main stage area, the highlight event on 10/1 (Sat) was "Tribute to Working Dogs," with Taichung City's mayor Lin Chia-lung presenting certificates of appreciation to the hardworking working dogs; on 10/2 (Sun), stray dogs open to public adoption transformed into models and were led out by truly professional fashion models to walk the runway together, thereby promoting the correct concept among owners of "adopt, never abandon."
Every furry child who came to the scene had an endless story of their origins and of finding happiness. Mix Kiki, gazed at affectionately by her owner, has a very endearing raccoon-dog face but is naturally shy and timid around strangers. Originally covered in mange all over, after her owner's devoted care, Kiki now has a lush coat and a tail that sways like silvergrass plumes. No need for many words to know that Kiki has already found a secure home where she will never be abandoned again in this lifetime.
