2016 Kuroshio Ocean University focuses on the sea people and the dolphin fish

May has arrived, and the 2016 "Kuroshio Ocean University" is setting sail! Each season at sea brings different lessons; through hands-on sea experiences and action, take a grand journey in life. The first class in learning from the ocean -- [Fisherfolk v.s. Mahi-mahi (dolphinfish)] -- will take everyone out to "fish the sea"!

- 04:30-04:40 Gather at the tourist service center in front of Hualien Railway Station
- 04:40-04:55 Head to the whale-watching pier
- 05:00 Set sail with the wind to go fishing (Hualien Port)
- 05:30-10:30 Fisherfolk get to work! – Longline fishing operations
- 10:40-12:10 Seafood lunch
- 12:10-13:00 Stroll around Hualien Fishing Harbor
- 13:00-14:00 Fishing boat harpoon platform experience, sea people sea talk
- 14:00-15:00 Fish hook DIY
- 15:00-15:30 Participants share, fill out questionnaire
- 15:30-15:45 Leave the fishing harbor for the railway station
- 15:45 Disband in front of Hualien Railway Station
