2013 Trends, Life: Several paths to a better life. [Registration deadline 5/26]

General News By Emily Carter 0 views

You are one of those souls in the city longing for freedom,
no longer able to get used to the daily routine of treading the carousel steps at MRT stations and bus stops.

The dreams that once kept you,

now are just the splendor that lights up automatically across the whole city after nightfall.
There is still hope, but also brokenness and struggle.

The soul, in the place most honest in the face of longing.

While the island's sunlight gradually grows scorching,
stir the yearning within your body to trace back to life's beginning - the ocean!

The waves are the island's outline, and also the pulse pushing from the deep sea toward the land,
and the deep blue nearing black at the far end of the horizon,
is precisely her call

- Child, come back!

Life's turning point is not passing through Platform Nine and Three-Quarters,
it is your every gentle yet firm step, letting life and dreams no longer be elsewhere.

A time steeped in salt, an ocean you will look back on for a lifetime;
just because of your powerless feet in the sea, every inch of skin now holds the memory of the ocean.

The ocean is a way of life. You will begin to believe.
