Summer 2017 is the perfect time for a trip to the seaside

We look forward to once again opening all our senses and savoring Hualien in detail, picking up a fragment at every stop along the way to piece together our own unique sandwich of Hualien, creating memories no one else can replace; and afterward, becoming people full of vitality and energy, cherishing the beauty of nature, willing to devote effort to the environment, and living freely.

1. Activity sessions:

(First session) 2017/7/6, 7, 8, 9, four days and three nights

(Second session) 2017/7/31, 8/1, 2, 3, four days and three nights

2. Participants: children entering grades 4 to 6 of elementary school, limited to 30

3. Activity time/location: from the morning of the first day to the evening of the fourth day. From Qixingtan in Hualien in the north to the Liyu Mountain Trail in Shoufeng in the south

5. Registration deadline: from now until 2017/5/12. Early bird discount ends 4/28 (Fri).

6. Activity fee: 9500 yuan for meeting in Taipei, 9000 yuan for meeting in Hualien.

7. Fee discounts (choose one): register before 4/28 for a 500 yuan discount, or a 500 yuan discount for one person when three sign up together

*Outdoor activities are affected by weather and unpredictable conditions. Taking safety factors and activity quality into consideration, the organizing team reserves the right to swap or change activity items. Children with bicycle-riding experience are encouraged to register.

▎Registration process:

1. Register online by filling out this form; registration closes 5/12.

2. After admission, Kuroshio will send a notification to the emergency contact (parent) by email, and will send a payment notice by email. Please, within three days of receiving the admission notice, remit payment via "OPay" to secure your registration.

3. If the procedures are not completed by the deadline, the spot will not be retained. Thank you for your understanding.

4. One week before the activity, a pre-departure notice will be sent to the emergency contact's (parent's) email address.

▎Refund rules:

1. Notify Kuroshio 21 days or more before the activity departure date: after deducting administrative costs already paid, 90% of the fee is refunded;

2. Notify Kuroshio 11 to 20 working days before the activity departure date: after deducting administrative costs already paid, 80% of the fee is refunded;

3. Notify Kuroshio 4 to 10 working days before the activity departure date: after deducting administrative costs already paid, 70% of the fee is refunded;

4. Notify Kuroshio 1 to 3 working days before the activity departure date: after deducting administrative costs already paid, 30% of the fee is refunded;

5. If Kuroshio is notified on or after the activity departure day, no refund is given. If the activity is cancelled, the full fee is refunded.

▎Notes:

1. This camp's activities include coastal bicycle riding, coastal travel, nighttime observation, and preparing some meals independently. Before registering, please consider the child's physical capacity and health condition, and please describe them in detail in the registration fields to inform us.

2. In order to give children space for independent growth and experience, this camp does not allow parents to follow the course in any way. Thank you for your cooperation.

3. During the activity, staff are equipped with emergency medical kits, walkie-talkies, and mobile phones, and follow basic accident prevention and emergency rescue procedures to respond to possible emergencies.

4. For this camp, all participants are insured with 2 million in travel accident insurance and 200,000 in accidental medical insurance.

5. Parents, please remind your children that when participating in camp courses, they must truly follow all safety instructions from activity staff and team counselors to avoid danger. Also remind your children to take good care of the items they bring, and not to leave them in Hualien!

6. Students traveling between Taipei and Hualien will take the train, accompanied on board by this camp's counselors.
