At COP18, youth strongly support developing countries in holding the final red line

In the final days of the conference, the young people at the venue were involved in many ”friction” incidents. Starting from the second-to-last day, many surprises and discussions seemed to make everything less smooth than imagined. The first flashpoint should be traced back to two Arab youths (from AYCM), who were escorted out of the venue by security for holding a banner and sent back to the airport, kicking off all the madness.

Next, at the venue, the representative from the Philippines gave an emotional speech. At roughly the same time, because Typhoon Bopha was striking the Philippines, young people around the world immediately launched a response action, so that the extreme weather facts occurring around the world were mentioned, discussed and taken seriously at the venue. If the world does not take action soon, there may be no chance to let the world hear the real images and voices again; the plight of developing countries and the voice of the Alliance of Small Island States were further brought to the fore through youth action.

If it is not us, then who?
If it is not us, WHO?
If it is not now, then when?
If it is not now, WHEN?
If it is not here, then where?
If it is not here, WHERE?
If there is no climate justice, then there is nothing at all.
If there is no climate justice, NOTHING

The remaining meetings continued at 7:30 in the morning,
and the youth action also continued at 7:15 the next morning, striving to influence the conference.
