After Frost's Descent, large white pomelos ripen and hit the market, and the satoyama citrus groves are fragrant
Autumn is the peak season for citrus. After the Mid-Autumn Festival pomelo, who takes the stage next?
The answer is: the large, round, fragrant, and juicy "large white pomelo" has arrived!
In October, the satoyama has shed the scorching heat of summer and welcomed the coolness of autumn, and the colors of all things in nature have one after another taken on layer upon layer of autumn hues. In the satoyama citrus groves, the ripe white pomelos carry a fresh fruity fragrance, and farming families have begun to pick these plump and round yellow-green fruits one by one.
"Satoyama Juku" specially invites everyone to take part in the October "Satoyama Citrus Fragrance" event, to learn together about the joys and hardships of caring for large white pomelos and other citrus crops, to look for the insects and birds and animals in the citrus groves (we must honestly admit that there really are no fish in the citrus groves), to understand the way of ecological balance in orchards, and also to help farming families harvest the large white pomelos. We will also use the abundant large white pomelos to make jam and kitchen-waste enzyme, wasting absolutely nothing!
The October "Satoyama Citrus Fragrance" event will be held on 10/27 (Sun). Families and parents with children are welcome to sign up together and carry a few grass-cultivated large white pomelos home to savor the taste of autumn! Companies and community organizations are also welcome to sign up as a group (20 people minimum to run), and together experience the seasonally flavored "Satoyama Citrus Fragrance."
