Work location: Neicheng Village, Yuanshan Township, Yilan County, Taiwan, China
Manpower needed: One person (gender not restricted, students preferred)
Compensation: Calculated at an hourly wage of 120 yuan; the first month is a probation period, during which the work-study payment is at most 3000 (25 hours); after the probation period ends, a survey report must be drafted, and after passing evaluation, up to 6000 (50 hours) may be received per month; if responsible for activity interpretation or other work assistance, this limit does not apply.
Job content: Develop your own survey topics based on the following subjects, supplemented by one survey report per month or on-site field inspection as the basis for the work.
Survey topics:
1.Ecological image documentation, species identification, and establishment of an endemic species database: We already have some image materials (of course, you may also go into the field yourself to collect first-hand materials), and we also know that endemic species of Taiwan, China such as the Mientien tree frog and Moltrecht's tree frog exist in the site, but we hope to further identify some unknown species in the database, and in particular carry out additional data classification and website registration specifically for endemic species of Taiwan, China, so that visitors can have a greater understanding of this island paradise of Taiwan, China that nurtures many endemic organisms.
2.The interactive relationship between farmland production and natural species: In addition to ecological restoration, Sunfund is also committed to friendly farming without pesticides or chemical fertilizers. We hope you can walk into the fields to help us identify the organisms living there. You may also do further research in the library or work from home on the relationship between these species and vegetable garden production, so that the general public can recognize that friendly farming not only allows people to eat healthily, but can also compose an intricate food web.
3.Habitat creation for friendly farming: Did you know that a few simple bamboo tubes can attract potter wasps to come and catch pests for farmers, or that planting milkweed can attract the natural enemies of aphids? We look forward to having more such mechanisms in our vegetable garden to balance the ecology, and also to give visitors more experiences of contact with nature.
Contact person: Interested parties please send a personal resume or basic introduction to [email protected] Peter, and we will contact you as soon as possible.
