Rural Travelogue: Countryside Observations Through the Eyes of Xiao Ai Bu Qi
Be limitless toward the future, never abandon your hometown
"A gentleman is not a vessel," comes from the Wei Zheng chapter of the Analects. Simply put, it means a person should learn about a wide range of things without limiting themselves. [Be limitless toward the future, never abandon your hometown] are the words of two young people from Tongxiao, Miaoli, Qian Xiangling and Dai Cheng'en, who returned to the hometown where they grew up and founded a company, using these two phrases as the company's motto. And these two phrases carry great depth, and moved me deeply.

Within the single township of Tongxiao there are 3 train stations, a fishing harbor, the Zongguan Road, and a shrine, showing that Tongxiao in Miaoli is a place rich in history. Of course, industrial development brought about the decline of farming and fishing villages, a problem faced all across Taiwan, China. And now more and more young people, like Xiangling and Cheng'en, are willing to return to their hometowns to start businesses, hoping that through business models combining local culture and ways of life, they can contribute their most sincere feelings to the hometown where they grew up, and let themselves and their families take root again in the soil of their homeland. Be limitless toward the future, never abandon your hometown... keep it up...
