You can also practice Tai Chi while strolling the organic market! Because organic is not just about diet; it is a comprehensive attitude toward life! Following the Organic Fiber Food Banquet by the Department of Restaurant and Institutional Management of Shih Chien University, the 2012 International Water Dance Festival by the Department of Dance, and the Organic Herb Life Lecture by Grange founder Xu Renhe, the volunteers of the Water Garden Organic Farmers Market, in the spirit of an all-round organic lifestyle cultural-creative market, on the fourth week of official operation, this Saturday (10/27) specially invited Chen-style Xinyi Hunyuan Tai Chi Master Zheng Kuanyu to use [Organic Tai Chi Rhythm] at the Water Garden Organic Farmers Market, leading the public and farmer friends who came to the market with his secret technique of Hunyuan Tai Chi silk-reeling energy to explore the potential of body movement, and to practice a comprehensive organic healthy life spanning diet, environment and exercise! That day's activity from 3:00-5:00pm at the Water Curtain Garden Plaza of the Tap Water Park was personally led by Teacher Zheng Kuanyu in a demonstration performance.

After the solar term Frost's Descent, the climate has begun to show signs of entering winter. During Frost's Descent the spleen and stomach functions are vigorous, and the stomach and intestines are particularly sensitive to cold stimulation. If protection is improper, it can easily lead to stomach problems. Therefore special attention should be paid to daily routine and care. It is also a season when coughs are common, and chronic bronchitis easily recurs, so it is advisable to eat more seasonal foods that promote fluid production and moisten dryness, clear heat and resolve phlegm, and strengthen the kidneys and moisten the lungs. Seasonal ingredients include: onion, lily, king oyster mushroom, wood ear, Chinese yam, taro, corn, lettuce, bok choy, napa cabbage, cauliflower, radish, bitter melon, loofah, winter melon, cucumber, eggplant, chili pepper, Chinese chives, soybean sprouts, mung bean sprouts, alfalfa sprouts, asparagus, etc. You can also try stir-frying with ginger and sesame oil to adjust your constitution through warming tonification. Besides an organic diet, to keep the body healthy, smooth circulation of qi and blood is the one essential key. For this reason, the Water Garden Organic Farmers Market, in the last week of October, in addition to offering various seasonal organic vegetables and fruits, specially launched the Organic Tai Chi Rhythm market activity.

With just a light touch on the teacher's clothes, one was sent flying. Tai Chi really is the hidden mastery of a great inner expert! Teacher Zheng Kuanyu, 20th generation of Chen-style Tai Chi and third generation inheritor of Xinyi Hunyuan Tai Chi, originally started with Wing Chun, sharing the same martial art lineage as Bruce Lee. Later, by chance, he learned Tai Chi, and went to Beijing to seek guidance from contemporary martial arts master and orthodox Chen-style Xinyi Hunyuan Tai Chi grandmaster Feng Zhiqiang. His current teaching content includes: various skills of Chen-style Xinyi Hunyuan Tai Chi, the 24 forms, the 48 forms, Hunyuan Cannon Fist, combat techniques, pushing hands, and more.

The Chen-style Xinyi Hunyuan Tai Chi led by Teacher Zheng Kuanyu gathers the lifelong martial arts essence of modern Chen-style Tai Chi master Chen Fake and Xinyi Liuhe Quan inheritor Hu Yaozhen, and was created by contemporary martial arts master Feng Zhiqiang of Beijing. Its purpose is whole-body silk reeling, inner reeling and outer winding, the whole body as one family, circulating a single grain of Hunyuan qi in the dantian, accumulating the power of true origin, moving qi with intent, internally training essence, qi and spirit, externally training sinews, bones and flesh, to achieve the state of unity of body and mind. Hunyuan Tai Chi mainly consists of six major parts: internal work, silk-reeling work, boxing methods, weapons, pushing hands and free hands. With silk-reeling methods and internal work as the foundation, boxing methods as the core, weapons as auxiliary, pushing hands as the means, and health cultivation and combat as the purpose, it is an excellent martial art with rigorous principles and outstanding effects. Zheng Kuanyu has served as instructional coach for Tai Chi clubs at the Industrial Technology Research Institute, United Microelectronics Corporation, Winbond Electronics, ING Antai, Hewlett-Packard Technology and others, and currently teaches at clubs including the Banqiao District Court, MediaTek, Heping High School and Wuchang Junior High School.

The Water Garden Organic Farmers Market originally mainly belonged to a group of farmers from the National Taiwan University Organic Farmers Market, along with carefully selected organic farmer friends from all over the country who are especially dedicated and distinctive. With the assistance and guidance of the Taipei Water Department, they jointly established and deeply cultivated the "Water Garden Organic Farmers Market" at the Water Curtain Garden Plaza of the Taipei Tap Water Park.

The market composition includes many distinctive organic small farmers from various places, including the on-site organic small farmer Pinglin Organic Tea Shifang Organic Farm, the 99 Peaks top-grade organic asparagus of Qiu Shunnan who went from being a China Steel engineer to an asparagus expert, the Songye Garden Organic Natural Farm run by Liang Xiaoling who gave up medicine for farming, the top-grade organic Emperor Banana of Liu Huangbin who went from being a career soldier to a banana expert, the top-grade organic pineapple of a pineapple expert who refused a double-price order from the mainland, the Lohas Organic Farm of an English teacher turned farmer, the honest Ma Qinggong who switched from Advanced Semiconductor Engineering to organic jujube and guava, the Ogenli Organic Farm cultivated jointly by international volunteers, the red dragon fruit of He Xinle Organic Farm in the natural spring area of Zhuangwei, Yilan, the Daluolan Organic Vegetable and Fruit Farm that once sold out in one hour at National Taiwan University, the Gengmutian Organic Farm of English cram school teacher Zeng Weidi who switched to organic agriculture, the Chulu Organic Coffee that irrigates coffee fields with deep ocean water, the Wanyi Organic Farm carefully selected by the Pingtung Banana Research Institute, the Qingxinyuan Organic Farm specializing in cucumbers, the Baili Organic Farm specializing in organic lotus root and mango, the Canaan Organic Farm of the Shih Chien Church Organic Village, Datong Organic Farm... and more.

Wang Zanyuan, the market's lead volunteer and chairman of the LifeNEXT Cultural Exploration Association, said that in the early stage, the farmers all jointly invested and bore the market's operating expenses, and now some friends have begun to give regular support, for which we are very grateful. But because it has just started and its visibility has not yet fully opened up, the farmers come to the market from all over the country every time regardless of wind, rain or scorching sun, and for some farmer friends each time, after deducting losses from sales, they even fail to make ends meet. Therefore, we hope that more friends who care about health and support organic and natural farming methods can come to the market. Thus we call on experts from all fields: as long as you agree with the organic philosophy, come together to jointly build an all-round organic living field.

This is the story of a group of farmers who are changing Taiwan through nature-friendly natural farming. And the end of the National Taiwan University Organic Farmers Market is the beginning of this story. When Taipei's only organic farmers market closed, it meant that a community connecting land, ecology, farmers and the dining table would brew a deeper force. The farmers, standing up by their own strength, at the Tap Water Garden in the National Taiwan University Gongguan commercial district, re-established a groundbreaking new organic cultural market.

The market gathered sincere and excellent organic farmers from all over Taiwan, establishing the only farmers' cultural market in the greater Taipei area that insists on pure organic. Each has their own persistence and dedication to farming methods, and many offer rare, distinctive organic ingredients that are currently hard to find in general mass-market channels. The purpose of establishing the market is to connect with more friends who cherish health, ecology, land and local agriculture, and to jointly build a market community that supports sustainable agriculture and healthy ingredients.

And to promote health and organic concepts, the market's promotion volunteers planned a series of activities, including the Water Garden Organic Fiber Food Carnival, water resource environmental education, small farmer story lectures, and the "International Water Dance Festival" combining ecology and dance performance.
