Applications are now open for the "Green Happiness at the Dining Table" public welfare lecture

Food education is regarded as the most important subject for children in the 21st century, and it was also a focus of this year's Milan Expo; in the UK, "cooking" is even a required subject in British education. After a string of food safety news stories in recent years, even elementary school children can now rattle off technical terms like plasticizers and genetic modification. And food education is precisely the key that allows children to develop correct eating habits from an early age and weather food safety storms with peace of mind.
In 2011, the Homemakers United Foundation was the first to propose the concept of "green food education." Simply put: it is "dietary education that emphasizes environmental protection," targeting the three major areas of dietary education, agricultural education, and ecological education, and approaching them from the perspectives of the family, school, and society, teaching everyone how to start from their own dining table to get to know agricultural producers and food, build correct dietary concepts, and further understand the value of land and the environment.
The promotion of green eating needs to be built up through food and agriculture education, so that people can understand the preciousness of "agriculture" through "food," and build correct dietary knowledge through "agriculture." In the lecture, we will introduce the importance of food and agriculture education and real-life examples, and share how individuals, communities, and others can build their own green living circles.
The lecture activities run from September to November, with limited sessions available on a first-come, first-served basis until full. (The Homemakers United Foundation reserves the right to review lecture applications.)
