2013 Taipei Earth Day

Dates: 4/13, 4/14 (this Saturday and Sunday)

Activities: Farmers' Market. Art Market. Lawn Lectures. Earth Cinema. Land Concert

Location: National Taiwan Museum Plaza, 228 Memorial Park

  • Farmers' Market (4/13 Sat 12:00~21:00; 04/14 Sun 10:00~18:00)
In the Farmers' Market section, through direct face-to-face contact and conversation with farmers, the public can better understand farmers' growing process and their feelings for the land. It is hoped that through this relaxed buying-and-selling interaction, food will no longer be merely a commodity to fill the stomach, but will become a practice of a life attitude that cherishes the land and stays close to nature.

This year's participating groups include: Jiayi Farm, Mufeng Farm, Shanye Family, Taiwan Original Flavor, Sifang Fresh Milk, Chunyizhi, Tangpo Vinegar, Zaiconghong… and 22 groups in total.

  • Art Market (Street Market) (4/13 Sat 12:00~21:00; 04/14 Sun 10:00~18:00)
In the Art Market section, the aim is to actively break away from the public's stereotypical impression of creative markets. Starting from environmental protection and green concepts, it seeks creative stalls that share the same philosophy. In addition to selling green goods such as fair-trade burlap bags, handmade figurines made from recycled wood, accessories strung from natural seeds, and organic cotton T-shirts, there are also many carefully designed DIY activities for the public to experience firsthand, making it easy to learn green knowledge while having fun.
This year's participating groups: Jiangguozi, Wool Felt Handicraft Hall, Yelü Lifestyle Clothing, Duoduo Xiang, Green Rabbit, Shuyue… and 12 groups in total.
