Mijia Arts and Culture Co., Ltd. was founded by a group of cultural and arts professionals who graduated from National Tainan University of the Arts. Guided by a love of the land, environmental protection, and the preservation of old cultural traditions, they established "Mijia Arts and Culture Co., Ltd." in particular to accommodate and nurture more students joining the ranks of those who care for the land. Because of long-term contact with community farmers and the growing importance of food safety issues, Mijia Arts and Culture has, since beginning its community-building work, consistently upheld an attitude of healthy eating and caring for the land, advocating the rejection of pesticides and chemical flavorings.
Since 2010, Mijia Arts and Culture has actively and diligently communicated with the farmers of Daqi Village. Through cooperation between students and farmers, it assists farmers in trying to grow pesticide-free citrus (liu-ding oranges) by means of direct sales from the place of production. It was also through the introduction of Daqi's pesticide-free citrus farmers that they came to know Brother Xiao Du, who insists on natural ecological aquaculture, and joined with Brother Xiao Du in devoting themselves to the development of a toxin-free industry.
Through pesticide-free and organic crops, they have along the way met many friendly, kind farmers and fishermen who love the land. Through getting to know and understand them, they gradually discovered that although food safety awareness in Taiwan is high, the number of people in Taiwan who buy toxin-free agricultural and fishery products is not large. Mijia Arts and Culture therefore joined with Brother Xiao Du in 2014 to plan and establish the Happy Fresh platform, for the sale of safe, toxin-free agricultural and fishery products, so that the efforts of farmers and fishermen who insist on caring for the land can be rewarded, and so that more people can eat with peace of mind.
We insist that only without added chemical agents can one eat healthily. Products sold on the Happy Fresh platform absolutely must pass strict screening before they can be listed, so that consumers can eat safely, healthily, happily, and with peace of mind.
