The Health Bureau said Fengyuan Ice Shop has been given guidance to improve, while the other two businesses are both in Changhua, and the case has been referred to the Changhua County Health Bureau for handling.

The Health Bureau said coliform bacteria are often used as an important indicator for monitoring whether food has been contaminated or whether there are hygiene deficiencies in the production process. If sanitary indicator bacteria exceed the standard, it means the hygiene conditions, ingredients, utensils or packaging process during production may have been contaminated, or the personal hygiene of workers may be poor, and the hygiene status of the product is also poor. The Health Bureau said that in addition to sampling ice products, this project also guided businesses to value and strengthen hygiene control in the production process and implement self-managed hygiene management, including product quality hygiene, personnel hygiene and environmental hygiene management. The Health Bureau called on food businesses to strengthen the production process, environmental and personal hygiene of their products to ensure the safety of ice products for consumers.
