The Demawen Tribal Vegetable Market is recruiting now, welcome to join

This year, by chance, I had the opportunity to go back and help the indigenous Demawan Association along the Daan River. What needed to be done was very simple: to promote a new plan for selling vegetables directly. The association grew out of the Taichung work station of the Zhi-Shan Foundation, which was originally set up for post-disaster reconstruction after the 921 earthquake. After the reconstruction work wound down, the workers in the tribe established the Demawan Association, hoping to transform from a recipient into a self-reliant organization.

This year the association launched the "Tribal Vegetable Market" plan, hoping to sell crops directly to consumers, thereby increasing income on the one hand and providing pesticide-free vegetables on the other. The way the plan works is very simple: we hope to find enthusiastic "vegetable market" subscribers. What is a "vegetable market" subscriber? It means finding people willing to organize group buys of vegetables. It works as follows:

  1. We will send vegetables every week, with at least one box of vegetables per address.
  2. Each box contains four or six portions of vegetables.
  3. Each portion is about five to six different kinds of leafy greens or root vegetables, weighing from four to ten liang.
  4. It can roughly supply a family of four with one home-cooked meal a day for a week. So ordering just one portion can meet a family's vegetable needs for a week.
  5. So you only need to find three or five friends and relatives to join a group buy for one box, and you can eat healthy, pesticide-free vegetables every week.
  6. Each portion of vegetables is 200 yuan, and the home delivery shipping fee shared equally per portion is 50 yuan, so what you need to pay per week is 250 yuan, and just 1,000 yuan per month.
