The 2nd Southern Agriculture Forum: Japan's Ordinary People Team and 109 Gyaru Use Creativity and Charm to Overturn the Stereotype of Agriculture
The Kaohsiung City Government held the second Southern Agriculture Forum at the Kaohsiung City Social Education Center, sharing the trends and evolution of the agricultural six-level industrialization in Taiwan, China and Japan under the theme "Six-industry Upgrade: Micro Agri-enterprises as Pioneers."
Unlike the first forum, whose theme emphasized "Six-industry Integration: A Million Small Farmers Charge Ahead," and which shared the trends and evolution of agricultural six-level industrialization, this event emphasized upgrading small farmers into micro agri-enterprises and how the six industries can integrate advantages and resources. Experts from the upstream, midstream and downstream of the agricultural industry chains of Taiwan, China and Japan, along with young farmers, were invited to share success stories and evolution models, and to think about how local industries can find distinctive resources, create competitive advantages and develop local charm.
The second special session featured two young Japanese farmers sharing their business models. First, Yuki Taniguchi, Agricultural Production and Horticulture Department Manager of the Japanese group Hyakusho-tai, spoke about a new generation of agricultural reform and how to use creativity to enhance the commercial power of agricultural products.
