"Protect Schoolchildren's Lunch: Parents, Let's Join In"
At the end of 2014, we together signed a petition on school lunch demands: get GMOs out of school lunches, implement food education and environmental education, and serve at least one sustainably farmed meal per week (local production, local consumption). In 2015, we need more parents to get involved before these demands can possibly be realized. We invite parents who care about school lunches to come and join the "Hsinchu County School Lunch Parent Empowerment Workshop"!
1. Course content: The state of school lunch promotion in Hsinchu County, how parents can take part in school lunch work (kitchen monitoring, promotion of food education and environmental education, the meaning of sustainable meals, the meaning of non-GMO crops), Q&A
2. Sessions and locations:
(1) Zhubei session: March 10, 104 (Tue) 9:00-12:00, Hsinchu CountyStadium large conference room (No. 2, Sec. 1, Guangming 6th Rd., Zhubei City, Hsinchu County), estimated 60 people.
(2) Zhudong session: March 20, 104 (Fri) 9:00-12:00, Hsinchu County Education Research and Development and Network Center (No. 68, Zhongshan Rd., Zhudong Township, Hsinchu County, next to Zhongshan Elementary School), estimated 60 people.
