Gongliao Hehe Rice Terraces Take a Summer Break, Fields Rest and Recover in Summer

1. On 8/3 (Thu), the meeting points are 07:20 at Taipei Railway Station North Gate 1 / 09:07 at Gongliao Railway Station. Children departing from Taipei Railway Station will be led as a group by the instructor, taking Local Train 4148 (0735-0907). Those departing from Yilan Railway Station can take Local Train 4131 (0809-0904). On 8/5 (Sat), the return meeting points are 16:30 at Jilin Elementary School / 17:00 at Gongliao Railway Station. We suggest preparing a mobile phone for your child to carry, with the instructor's phone number 0966-685725 saved in advance.
2. Because the activity is held during the rice terrace harvest season, participants may be guided by the instructor to cut rice with sickles in the paddy fields and walk in rice terraces with water up to their calves; and at a stream section under Jilin No. 3 Bridge where the water is about 60 cm deep, to snorkel and turn over stones to observe aquatic insects and fish, shrimp, crabs and shellfish; or to walk along the remains of a waterway that has reverted to forest and is long and obstructed. Outdoor activities make up a high proportion of the program, so please register after considering this carefully.
3. The activity is expected to provide accommodation at "Jilin Elementary School dormitory, Gongliao District, New Taipei City" or at a farming household. The address is No. 55, Neiliao Street, Jilin Village, Gongliao District, New Taipei City.
4. A detailed suggested packing list will be sent to you in the pre-trip notice 7 days before the activity. [Important Notes]

1. The instructor team includes Pa Travel of the Renhe Environmental Ethics Development Foundation and members of the Hehe Production Team. We need participants who are willing to learn actively by getting close to the land. Our purpose is environmental conservation and the passing on of local culture, so the activity will carefully maintain friendliness toward residents' lives and the environment. During the activity, please cooperate together and follow the guidelines of the leaders.
2. Because of weather and the actual conditions of farm work, the activity may differ from what you imagine. Parents must be sure to pass the pre-trip notice on to their children after receiving it, so that everyone can prepare fully according to the pre-trip notice, understand the goals of the activity, and have a deep experience.
3. During the activity, images will be photographed and filmed in coordination with conservation and industry plan promotion. Please be sure that you and your companions can all accept and agree to this before deciding to participate. We will protect your usage rights to be limited to the promotional purposes stated above.

[How to Register]

1. Registration is open now through "Pa Travel" Online Registration in the left sidebar of the Renhe official website.
2. When you submit your registration, you will receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive it for a long time, please contact the activity window to confirm.
3. Starting 6/12 (Mon), we will send out "admission and waitlist notices" one after another. After receiving the "admission and waitlist notice," please complete the payment process within 3 days according to the steps in the email text (those who do not complete the remittance process within the deadline will be deemed to have given up their place, and replacements will be made in order until full).
4. After completing registration and payment, we will send the "pre-trip notice" 7 days before the activity day. (1) For cancellations 11 days before, the fee will be refunded in full (the refund will deduct the remittance handling fee); (2) for notices 7 to 10 days before the activity day, the refund will deduct 30% of the fee; (3) for cancellations 2 to 6 days before the activity day, because the place is occupied and ingredients, materials, etc. have already been purchased, the refund will deduct 50% of the fee (refunds will be completed by the 15th of the month following the activity day).
5. If your child cannot participate for some reason and you wish to transfer the place to another companion, please provide insurance information 3 days before the activity so the organizer can assist with insurance arrangements.
6. In the event of force majeure such as natural disasters, typhoons, heavy rain, or earthquakes, the organizer will adjust the content according to the situation. If it is cancelled or postponed for any reason (postponement due to weather will be moved to August 10-12), we will notify you no later than 12:00 noon 1 day before the activity, and we will refund the full fee (though you will need to bear the remittance handling fee; thank you for your understanding and support).
