2017 Guandu Nature Park Farming Camp Intern Recruitment

Did you know that in bustling Taipei you can still find a rice paddy where you can experience the rustic joys of the fields? Guandu Nature Park preserves a patch of teaching rice paddy, and with the theme "spring plowing, summer weeding, autumn harvest, winter storage," it plans four-season camp activities so that urban parents and children, amid their busy lives, can also get close to nature, experience traditional farming, and enjoy closeness to nature no longer reserved only for parent-child families. The four-season parent-child camp is recruiting "farming camp interns" in 2017, letting you, as an intern, experience the Guandu farming courses, take part in them, interact with the participants, and learn the details of how the camp is run. Whether you love nature, are interested in rice, are curious about Guandu's cultural background, or want to learn how a farming camp is run, come join us!

Assist with the courses throughout, accompanying participants in the fields

♦Work Schedule

Camp work training (mandatory attendance)

Spring plowing (3/5), summer weeding (4/22), autumn harvest (7/2), winter storage (11/5)

Four-season parent-child courses (choose dates)

Spring plowing (3/11, 3/12, 3/18, 3/19)
Summer weeding (4/29, 4/30, 5/6, 5/7)
Autumn harvest (7/8, 7/9, 7/22, 7/23)
Winter storage (11/12, 11/18, 11/19, 11/26)

♦Location

Guandu Nature Park (10-15 minutes on foot from Exit 1 of Guandu MRT Station)

♦Application Requirements

1. Able to take part in the selection meeting and camp work training
2. Physically capable of working all day, unafraid of sun and rain
3. Enthusiastic friends aged 20 and above

After receiving the admission notice, please pay a 1000 yuan deposit before 1/21 (Sat) (those who meet the application requirements and take part in 8 or more four-season parent-child courses will receive a full refund)
